On 1 June 2023, the Australian government published a discussion paper on governance mechanisms, including regulations, standards, tools, frameworks, principles and business practices. It aims to ensure the development, safe and responsible use of AI in Australia. It seeks the public feedback to inform consideration across government on appropriate regulatory and policy responses.
